“This equipment forms part of a £2m investment & will ensure that we have the capacity available to meet the demands of our markets over the next 5 years. By making this commitment not only are we safeguarding existing jobs but also creating a further 25 positions in the company. We are a strategic supplier to our OEM customers and must be in a position to meet global demand or we are at risk of losing business to our European competitors.” – said Ian Taylor of Taylor Engineering & Plastics Ltd.
“Krauss Maffei and Piovan UK were chosen for this project as both companies have been supplying TEP for the last 15 years and throughout that time they have provided prompt and reliable service” Each machine has Piovan’s latest generation Easy3 conveying system, whilst Piovan’s advanced Piovan DP622 desiccant dryers handle the material drying.
These dryers feature dedicated blowers for process regeneration, temperature controlled closed loop regeneration, SSR for ultimate reliability, & Piovan’s IES (Intelligent Energy Supervisor) system to minimise energy consumption. To guard against over drying and possible thermal degradation of the material Piovan’s IMD (Intelligent Material Drying) reduces the drying temperature if material consumption slows or stops. The package from Piovan is completed with THP124 Pressurised water heaters which can provide mould temperatures of up to 140C and SSR, leakstop, & leakage sensor alarm.
All of the equipment is covered by a 24/7 service contract and 2-year warranty from Piovan UK.
