£1-million investment in R-RIM
TEP has invested over £1m in a new state-of-the-art metering machine and mould carriers to extend its business into R-RIM. The new 'Comet' machine from Krauss-Maffei UK produces products weighing up to seven kilos and has special adaptations to enable processing of the Bayflex 180-110 chemical system from chemical company Bayer.
The Comet is ideal for the production of thin-walled exterior components such as bumpers side panels and skirts.

A Class Finishing Booth
TEP has installed a Jun-Air fully enclosed "A" class paint booth to increase its capabilities and capacity for the provision of larger components under strict finishing criteria. As an addition to the existing robotic, manual and tracked facilities this gives TEP a full portfolio of plant available for sectors demanding high class finishing.
Further additions to DCPD Moulding
2008 saw TEP add capacity and larger moulding capability into its DCPD Department, with the introduction of a new OMS dosing and clamp unit. With a 3m x 3m platen the clamp unit can assist TEP in offering it’s customer base the ability to mould components in excess of 40kg in weight.
